Saluting The King's Cup

The King's Cup Regatta in Phuket is held at the beginning of December each year to celebrate the King of Thailand's birthday and is one of several very competitive annual sailing events in Thailand (that includes the sawadee.com Regatta 2009, Samui). Some big names were racing including Neil Pryde and Ray Roberts. Sailing in Thailand is also about the parties that take place after the daily sailing is over - and the King's Cup didn't let itself down with some very cool social events.
